Who can use Obeagle
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. By using Obeagle — including accepting the house rules before you join the queue — you agree to everything on this page. If you don’t agree, don’t use Obeagle.
House rules
The whole idea is simple: show your pet, meet someone else’s. To keep it that way:
- A real pet on camera. The detector checks for a live dog or cat before you can queue. A plushie, a photo, or a screen doesn’t count.
- Keep it friendly. You’re a guest in a stranger’s living room. Act like one.
- No nudity or sexual content, no harassment or hate, nothing illegal. Not on camera, not over audio, not ever.
Break a rule and the ban is instant — temporary or permanent, at our discretion.
Your content & conduct
Everything you broadcast — your video, your audio, your behavior — is your responsibility. Calls are live, with no delay and no edit button, so don’t show or say anything you wouldn’t stand behind, and follow the laws that apply to you. Obeagle does not record calls, and we expect the same of you: don’t record, photograph, or rebroadcast other users without their consent.
DoggiTV
While you wait for a match, DoggiTV plays a library of pet clips, each credited to its creator. The clips are hosted by Obeagle and are entertainment, not live users — the dog on DoggiTV can’t see you. Please don’t rip, re-upload, or strip the attribution from them.
Enforcement
We review reports from users and act on them. We may suspend or permanently ban a session, apply rate limits, or refuse service entirely — with or without warning, and with no obligation to explain. We’d rather Obeagle stay small and kind than grow big and unpleasant.
Disclaimers
Obeagle is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every match will be delightful. Strangers are strangers: beyond checking for a pet, we don’t vet who you’ll meet.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Obeagle and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some places don’t allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnity
If your conduct on Obeagle, or your breach of these terms, leads to a claim against us, you agree to defend and indemnify Obeagle against the resulting claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top and flag meaningful changes on the site. Continuing to use Obeagle after a change means you accept it.
